 These are a small collection of paintings completed all through the 90s. Much like previous decades, I let a lot of paintings go before photographing them. The 1990s were also another transition of sorts as far as the style. In both my pastels and oil paintings I moved much more towards impressionism, styles I liked such as Monet for pastels, and Van Gogh for my oils. |

Jazz in the Park: 1996-1997 This a detail of a painting that was part of a "Jazz Series" during this period. It was specifically painted and submitted to a local organization in charge of Jacksonville Florida's "Jacksonville Jazz Festival" to be considered as a promotional poster for the event. This was the original painting, the final submission actually included graphics, titles etc. that were relative to the festival itself. |

Ocean Bruning : 1997 This painting was done from a photograph of a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, but the colors actually represent a sunset on the Gulf Coast of Florida where I lived while doing the painting. |

Sleeping Sun : 1997 Yes, this painting and the one above were done at the same time. While living in Sarasota Florida, which is on the Gulf Coast is saw many beautiful sunsets with brilliant golden yellows, turquoises blues and violets. |
